10/10 one of the best extensions to ever exist!
It sort of works. From my experience it works only on first visit of the page. Whenever I try to go to settings, deal with messages, check events or to check my network (LinkedIN) and then go to home, the feed actually shows up. Sometimes you don't even have to actually visit home.
Perfection. It was quite nice with the previous version too, but now it's like 200% better
Useful extension. Just please fix it on Facebook - now it is not working fully correctly (Reels are visible).
I deleted it due to the new layout etc, but downloaded it again just to leave this review. The old version was so much better no idea why they changed something so drastically that worked, I will now uninstall it again, what a shame, used to be great
Very grateful to have a free tool to prevent social media scrolling whilst still allowing access to the sites' messaging features. Thank you Jordan and whoever else helped develop it!
New version is such a bad user experience. Almost feels like someone new bought the app and totally f-ed it up. Please just give us the old version.
I leave detailed commentary on recent changes to others, I'm not a programmer nor a particuarly heavy user of facebook in any case, part of that no doubt because I started using New Feed Eradicator a looooong time ago and never really go into the habit of scrolling the news feed. I have always been reasonably adamant that a program has to suit my needs, not the other way around, so when facebook switched to the newsfeed format I had to find a way around it or leave. Thankfully for me this script has been doing the job for years. I can still message with my friend from around the world or use marketplace without having to see whatever BS is being promoted by an algorythm into the feed. I would like it if the series of images of people (stories?? I honestly don't know) between the 'what's on your mind' and the eradicator quote would disapear again. It only recently popped up for me and it's fairly distracting. EDIT: The 'stories' thing eventually was removed again. Awesome. 2 Thumbs up! Thanks! I understand that this is a constant work in progress/moving target, etc....
doesnt work on brave browser for me (would love to see this fixed) but still given 5 stars as it is amazing on chrome
Pls enable us to bring back the older look, new one is worse. Previously it was faster and simpler
