Available since 2011.

As of version 4.23 (January 2021), link tracking via the "ping" attribute is disabled by default. This prevents Google from tracking your link clicks. If you want Google to track your link clicks, visit the options page to disable this feature.

Works really well, thank you! A cool extension would be to convert URLs back to normal in Hangouts that have had the referrer junk added to them.

Thank you! No more hijacked URLs on Google Search. I hated them—they doubled the time pages took to load, and they broke copy-and-paste.
