AudioPick allows to pick a preferred audio output device that is used when a chrome tab is playing HTML5 audio or video over HTTPS.
The extension finds HTML5 audio and video elements within the document tree and manipulates the "sinkId"` in order to switch to the preferred audio output device. Since version 0.3.8 it also finds Audio, Video and AudioContext objects that have not been inserted into the document tree, e. g. Spotify and SoundCloud should now work with the extension, too.
Since it's now possible to store/remember a preferred audio output device per domain, the extension's option panel and hence the option to set a global preferred device (for the browser) has been removed.
Note that the "Media Capture and Streams API" requires media (microphone) permissions to be granted to every site with audio sinks that need to be manipulated, which - as a result - allows those sites to access your microphone. Hence AudioPick only acquires permission when the user actually picks a non-default device for a site and restores permissions when the user reverts back to using the default. Since version 0.3.10 a "smartMicAccess" mode can be activated in the UI which further reduces the number of microphone permissions granted by the extension.

Simply doesn't work on any site I've tried it. You pick a different device and nothing happens, it still plays on the old/default one.
Does not work on brand new PC with chrome.

PAROU DE FUNCIONAR? É tudo uma questão de permissão do navegador! Cliquem no cadeado da barra de endereço > configurações do site > permitir microfone > permitir som > permitir acesso a plug-in sem sandbox !! PROBLEMA SOLUCIONADO. O meu tinha parado de funcionar a 4 meses e só agora vi um comentário aqui sobre permissão de som e mic, mas somente quando permiti o plug sem sandbox foi que resolveu. Espero que dê certo com vocês também. ;)
###BUG FIX### if audio pick stopped working try this fix that worked for me -settings in chrome -go to privacy and settings section -click site settings -go to youtube and look for the sound option -set the sound option to allow
не работает(
Не работает. Нажимаю на смену вывода звука, выбираю любую опцию ( колонки, динамики, другое редство вывода ) и тупо ничего не происходит.
why its not working for me anymore? is there any other app who does it?
Das Addon lief bis vor einiger zeit echt super, aber jetzt kann ich in den Einstellungen kein output mehr einstellen und müsst jetzt in jedem Tab den Output manuell einstellen und auch dieser bleibt nur bis zum nächstem Chrome oder PC neustart erhalten. Damit ist diese Erweiterung leider ziemlich nutzlos geworden.
