Get the password manager created by the former scientists who met at CERN behind Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email provider. Proton Pass is open-source, end-to-end encrypted, and protected by Swiss privacy laws.
Pass offers more than other free password managers and has no ads or data collection. You can use it for free forever on all your devices to create and store unlimited passwords, autofill logins, generate 2FA codes, create email aliases, secure your notes, and more.
* Protect your logins and their metadata with battle-tested end-to-end encryption
While many other password managers only encrypt your password, Proton Pass uses end-to-end encryption on all your stored login details (including your username, the website address, and more).

Pretty basic feature set, but it did get just released. And released at the perfect time I can say, I was already a customer of Proton and I was looking for a replacement for Bitwarden after their regrettable actions which made me question their commitment to human rights and privacy. Adding a password manager to your portfolio of products was a great idea, and the import from Bitwarden worked without a hitch, good job.
Ordinary great product from proton
Awesome UI with smoothness. would love to have some more keyboard shortcuts.
Dashlane user here. it's definitely lacking a lot of features (especially the web dashboard) and I promise you will notice it. Normally I don't jump into things on "coming soon" features, and it is kind of disappointing to see that they released it in this state while even offer subscription plans, but I have no doubt they will take care of that. Overall, very beta-ish. Beautiful, simple theme, and the building blocks are clearly there. It's just not worth the price right now (considering the competition (even the built in chrome password vault)). And, if you want to use it on android, you can forget it, as calling the autofill on there a disaster would be a compliment. Hopefully they push some updates soon, and I have no doubt they will as Proton has done a pretty good job so far. Some stuff I would like to see is identity management like credit cards and addresses (like dashlane), windows hello/security key support, dark web monitoring and password management, desktop app and web app, password sharing, password history and general audit log tools, automated password changing, and just better security options like alternate cryptography standards. I'm all in right now (or at least that is what my wallet would say) and I am looking forward to changing my review :)
Not real thrilled at this point. Imported passwords and went to AWS and it couldn't figure out my account/login information. Had to go back to my previous password manager to get that information just to login. Not a great start. Other issues I've seen is when I tried to auto login my bank account it just sits there. Doesn't even populate the u/P
It's an okay password manager and a solid start (I love the alias functionality), but it's lacking a lot of basic features, not to mention advanced ones. It can't handle keys, I don't see any yubikey support for 2fa to Proton Pass, it can't hold payment or personal info to autofill, no credential leak monitoring or alerting on potential breaches for sites I have accounts on, etc
There are so many bugs that I've come across that they are too numerous to mention. First, logging into the extension fails 75% of the time. Too many useful features are missing. It's near impossible to manage vaults. There's no web page, only the little extension window. And that will disappear in a flash at the first click elsewhere. I swear this is a beta, and not a well developed one at that. I can't believe that this has been released. I expected something good from Proton. What were they thinking? I'll be sticking with the excellent Keeper manager, thank you very much.
I love it, only downside ive noticed is that you have to stay logged in via https://account.proton.me/login. so if i switch protonmail accs it logs me out of the extension. we should be able to login to the extension and still switch proton accounts in browser ie like email etc
The roll-out of ProtonPass is much welcomed. As with ProtonMail, Pass is rock solid. It performs extremely well. I am very pleased. I realise that the addition of new features must be staggered, and I praise Proton for the richness of its initial release and recent updates. I greatly appreciate that Pass is bundled within the premium subscription. To have ProtonPass join in one bundle the suite of apps for mail, calendar and drive functionality is wonderful. I would love to see, sooner than later, the added feature of auto-fill for credit card information. I highly recommend the Proton suite of apps.
