With this extension you can easily search for text you have selected. When some text is selected you can left click the selected text to get a popup where you can choose a search engine to search with.
In the options page you can customize the look of the menu, which mouse button that should activate the menu, which search engines to show, and a lot of other things.

When you install this extension you will get a warning that this extension can:
"Access your data on all websites."
This is needed because the code for the popup-menu needs to be added to every website for it to work.

It was all good, but recently i don't know what happened to chrome. It says the Selection Search extension is broken and turned off, so there is a repair button. I clicked it. The extension is on, but all settings are gone...
Best of its kind, works fine mostly. Except for one issue that it generates garbage text (looks like dump of its CSS file) under XML pages.
Useful, but adds a blank page when I try to print in Google Docs (I spent the best part of a day troubleshooting to find out this weird behavior came down to this extension).
let me make a custom template, im currently looking at cars and when i like one i want to google ''navigate from (my adress) to (selected adress)'' edit: i found a fix, thanks gemini open the exention settings then add https://www.google.com/maps/dir/STREET+HOUSENUMBER+CITY+PROVINCE/%s and dont forget to turn on ''Open search in new tab''
It's a very good piece of software, but it would be great if it also had cut and copy buttons.
