With this extension you can easily search for text you have selected. When some text is selected you can left click the selected text to get a popup where you can choose a search engine to search with.
In the options page you can customize the look of the menu, which mouse button that should activate the menu, which search engines to show, and a lot of other things.

When you install this extension you will get a warning that this extension can:
"Access your data on all websites."
This is needed because the code for the popup-menu needs to be added to every website for it to work.

This extension is the best of its kind, a highly productive must have. I have noticed since version 0.9.1 the context menu icons no longer appear. Icons do appear for Google sites like YouTube but no other search engine icons do. I am aware changes were made in how icons were retrieved in version 0.9.1 but as a result no icons apart from Google sites have their icons retrieved. Perhaps Google Chrome updates have interfered causing this issue. Anyway, this is a top-tier Chrome extension among the very best. EDIT: I noticed today, on day later July 5th, the icons are back. Thank you developer Pitmairen for whatever you may have done to correct this problem.

I've been using this extension for years and I love it. It functions in exactly the way I had in mind when looking for this type of extention plus it's options menu for adding new search options is very user friendly.

This extension is a huge time saver at my job. I greatly appreciate the author not only providing the extension but also quickly fixing bugs like the ones caused by Chrome's recent update.

Now, the Popup menu hardly ever shows the search engine icons. I tried uploading the icons to a new image host thinking it was a problem with the old one, but no luck. It's not always showing icons of the sites, so if you're using icons only theme then you won't be able to use it half the time. It's like a glitch of some sort.
非常好用，由于浏览器有点问题，就重置了User Data，重置前一直很好用，重置后选择搜索需要点两次才能弹出搜索。发现升级到0.9.1，卸载0.9.1后好找了个老版本，解决了。希望能修复此问题。
