The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

Does not give me the right click option mentioned in the description. It also only saves the web page as an image, it does not save the url so no way to get back to the page. Can anyone recommend something like this app that DOES save the url? Yes I know about cutepdf but wanted something that saves to DRIVE. Thanks.
@Dave Basener (reviewed 12/12/2012): It *does* download locally first -- but it does so invisibly. So, it's still using *your* internet connection to 1) download (cache) the file, and then 2) Re-upload it to Google Drive. .... This is sad, because it means we're still limited by the speed of our own connection (not Google's). ... However, you are correct in that it does not (appear to) leave a trace behind. BUT I am not a security analyst, and I haven't examined closely for cache files.
Ez egy kiváló dolog, hogy végre ne a könyvjelzők közé keljen mindent elmenteni.
Works as it should, the only thing I'm missing is ability to select path in Drive for new file.
I don't see the need for the file size restriction. It seems to download the file locally first, so the app isn't that useful.
It's very useful in theory, but I need to be able to select a folder to save to. Else all my files end up in a mess that needs sorting. Also, I don't see the need for file size restrictions, I use this for saving my university lectures to stream later on my tablet... a I have 15GB to use, so let me use it as I wish.
Excellent Extension. Fast and Efficient. ***Would even be better if it could save files to specific folders within my Drive directory.

Excellent feature, quick and easy to use, can save for later. Can pull pages for offline use, my personal favorite.
