The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

It's brilliant! But I would give extra stars for: +1: Folder selection before saving +1: Saving just a part of the page, giving a selectable tool to crop just the part that interests me.
Things that'll make it better. 1. Option to Auto-close progress window after successful upload. 2. Default folder. 3. Folder prompt on each upload.
Fantastic; especially since Google removed the Create [Drive] Doc feature from Gmail. Love the Context Menu feature so I can Hide Button.
I think this extension is very useful, but I would like to see simple features like this included in Chrome by default, rather than having to install a whole extension.
I use a web-based email service separate from Gmail and all the other big-name services. I was afraid that saving the attachment to the Google Drive using this extension would only save the link to the file rather than the file itself. I'm glad I was wrong! It worked beautifully!

Only basic functionality. In my opinions there are missing: - adding tags, - choosing folder for upload, - maybe rules for mapping filetypes to folder? Or tags to folder? (even better) - sharing saved content, - png screenshots of webpages in higher resolution. Install and try Evernote Web Clipper (Chrome addon) to see how this shoud work.
This app is right on! It saves nearly anything to your Drive! Webpages save as png (a file that is as tall as the page is long) and pdfs save as a breeze! Nice Work!
