The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

This app is the best part of google drive. It's not perfect but it's a really awesome thing!
It would be nicer if have an option "close this dialog after downloaded"
It needs to be able to handle formatting a little better when saving web articles as a Google document. Copying and pasting manually does it much better. Also need ability to crop sections that we only need. Please take a look at the Evernote web clipper extension to see how well it works.
"2" Вобщем-то просто кнопка с единственной опцией "сохранить" открытую страничку в Google Drive с простенькими настройками формата сохранения. Все работает, но функционал минималистический и ничем не отличается от просто сохранить страницу браузером, а потом залить ее на GD. В особенности, если еще не все страницы сохраняет (по непонятным причинам). С кириллицей работает очень криво. Все страницы с русским заголовком будут сохранены как "?????????". Приходится сразу переименовывать, что только добавляет лишней возни. Вобщем, идея хорошая, но реализация крайне слаба.
It works great, but here are a couple suggestions that would make this AWESOME. -Ability to select the folder you'd like the image/link to be saved in!!!! -Be able to add a description to images being saved. Both of these would make this extension very useable, as right now it is very annoying having to go back into my Google Drive just to move an image to its correct folder and then add the description (essentially to tag it). Thanks!!!

Very useful. As others have commented, it would be great to be able to pick which folder to save to. I would also like to see the ability to save as PDF.

It appears to download locally first, then upload to drive. That fills a niche if you do not use the Google Drive sync on your local computer, but I do. I thought this app would save directly to GDrive without downloading locally first. The sync application does the same thing when I just download it regular into my sync'd folder.
I love this app! It would be significantly more useful to me if it had a save as .pdf option. The options available are odd. Why convert pages of text to a graphic? There is no option for saving text. I love how simple and easy it is to use. (I save large amounts of text to my drive when doing research.)
