The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

There's an issue with saving mp3 files. It adds an .mpg extension to them. The files themselves are intact, if you change the extension it works. However, overall this is a great extension. Soon enough I can get rid of my hard drive forever. ;)
Glad that it works on ChromeOS, unlike ScreenCapture (also by Google). ScreenCapture has some nice features which I'd like to see here: redact and highlight text, set a default directory where the screenshot should be saved. Why are the two merged into one?
Add the feature to open the doc right in the tab on click 'Save to Google Drive' the extension opens a new tab and freezes on the stage of 'Redirecting...'
Be good idea to select "all page", "view page"...
Can't upolad a 105mb file :o and after it's downloading the file to my machine and then uploading to Google Drive. So why we need this extension? I really hope we can transfer straight to gDrive otherwise this extension is useless, imho.

Нельзя сохранять прямые ссылки на текстовые и pdf файлы в облако. Приходиться их открывать и уже в процессе просмотра добавлять в Google Drive.
Sorry, but this is not yet an alternitive for Evernote.
