The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

They want access to my google drive docs in exchange for this?!??!? What r u out of your mind? GO ahead, take my identity. Steal all my passwords, take my business plans, sure, that seems like a fair trade off.

Good initiative and good plugin, but need more options to save. Example, default Directory in Google Drive or default directory by category or file extensions.
This is great! I am not sure what others are seeing when they say that it does not save directly to Drive, but downloads locally first. I have not seen evidence of that. I have a Chromebook CR48 running: Version 23.0.1271.94 beta Platform 2913.224.0 (Official Build) beta-channel x86-mario Firmware Mario.03.60.1120.0038G5.0018d and by all appearances the file goes straight into my main G-Drive folder. If it is passing through locally it is leaving no trace.
Good idea but does not do everything we need it to, for example saving files on yuour desktop first negates the purpose of this extension
