Description
Font Rendering Enhancer comes from Opera Font Rendering by thunder13. Darker and clearer text on almost every page (http and https). Modified and ported Mac OSX Font Rendering by proxxy (from Opera on Presto engine).
"The windows browsers render the fonts based on the normal sub-pixel rendering without implementing Font smoothing, anti-aliasing as noticeable as Mac OSX. This tweak applies text to be displayed more anti-aliased using CSS3 property. So modern browsers supporting CSS3 and userstyle support would be able to support it. ;)"

Chrome extension that shows page plain text and allows you to edit or download the text
excellent
At heavy pages there are noticeable delay before fonts will be completely re-rendered, but still great! After using this add-on fonts became even better, than in Firefox!
nice Google should render fonts like mac osx
Can you please provide options to control the darkness/contrast of the text? I would like the default darkness I have before installing this extension, but with the rendering and thickness I get from this extension.
the last piece missing in chrome! wow!
Chrome text rendering sucks! but this makes it better, thanks 😀
Did not work for me. First, it was not clear you had to adjust a setting (thought it auto-adjusted for you), and second, it did not make any difference even after I played with the settings. The jagged fonts in Chrome is more of a problem with the browser, but this extension did not solve that problem as it claims to.
i simply drag font width to 100 and enjoy the best looking fonts ever. thank you. i'd never use chrome without this extension!
I've always found Google Chrome's text to be harder to read than an example Internet Explorer's text. This app solves the issue.
Must go into options and increase font width, otherwise effect is barely noticeable. Max it out and the effect is very noticeable :)
