Description
Font Rendering Enhancer comes from Opera Font Rendering by thunder13. Darker and clearer text on almost every page (http and https). Modified and ported Mac OSX Font Rendering by proxxy (from Opera on Presto engine).
"The windows browsers render the fonts based on the normal sub-pixel rendering without implementing Font smoothing, anti-aliasing as noticeable as Mac OSX. This tweak applies text to be displayed more anti-aliased using CSS3 property. So modern browsers supporting CSS3 and userstyle support would be able to support it. ;)"

Enhanced font rendering in Chrome!
Make reading online easier and more enjoyable by formatting pages with the Lexend font.
Change the font of web pages to OpenDyslexic Font
Control your web page zoom with Zoom Out Chrome! This extension makes it easy to zoom out on Chrome, improving readability.
Chrome extension that shows page plain text and allows you to edit or download the text
Still allows gray-on-white style; the most idiotic concept since Al Gore invented the interwebs. NoSquint should get going on this "Chrome" thing, in case of the unlikely event that it catches on. Firefox FTW.
I have discovered how to use this tool. Find the tool by clicking the 3 bars on the right side in the browser toolbar and hit "more tools." Click "options" and drag the font width slider over to the right side, I have mine on about the 75% level. Although it does not say so, it makes the text darker and easier to read rather than the font being bolder such as other extensions do. With the extension Stylish you can install styles to force "big black bold" text which bolds everything which I find distracting. Font Rendering Enhancer works best for me since it just darkens the text and makes it readable. Some web pages such as this webstore page have hard-to-read grey passages on a grey background and extensions don't improve every webpage, but this extension does improve most. Very sincere thanks.
great but please, please implement a feature to limit it to only certain sites. like user can make a text list in the options, would be enough I only have 1 site where I really need it, but on that site I really do need it.
Although it only provides about half the improvement in readability of High Contrast, it lacks all the bugs which make the alternative unusable. An absolute necessity. Would rate five stars if it included options to adjust manually for better personal performance.
Indispensabile! Finalmente i siti si vedono come Firefox.
Really works. Better comfort to see letters. Ext - "must have". ( Win 10 )
Improves readability on pages that for some reason decide to go with light grey text on a white background. Would be nice if had more options to adjust.
Шрифты стали лучше, почти как в лисе, особенно заметны изменения, какой шрифт стал в каментариях под видео на youtube, в родно шрифте яндекс и хрома глаза болели
My eyes thank you!
This is basically the only reason i was using firefox instead of Chrome, because of how thin and unreadable were fonts in Chrome. This extension is awesome and a must have!
