Teachers don't even use it, it just slows down the computer and strips us of our privacy

"Read and change all your data on the websites you visit". It stores every key we press (looked through files, researched, etc.) it is for sure an invasion of our privacy because it takes way to much information to maintain the task of "keeping students on task." You do not need to know what keys i press, what the time and date is, etc. to help the learning environment. Mark this review as helpful so others can see this and google can report it

This is how you disable the extension on windows: 1) Press [Windows key] + R to open the run menu. 2) Type %APPDATA% in the text box 3) Hit enter. This will likely put you in the 'Roaming' folder 4) From here, navigate back a folder and find 'Local' 5) Then, Click on the folder titled "Google" 6) Click on Chrome -> User data 7) Click on Default 8) Click on Extensions 9) Delete the folder titled "honjcnefekfnompampcpmcdadibmjhlk" 10) you have deleted lanschool

This is straight up censorship. There's no beating the bush with this nonsense. I can understand that the schools wants to protect students from going to the "wrong" websites. But, now, it's become clear that instead of ACTUALLY protecting students' safety, this is often used to censor MANY things. Even educational platforms like Roblox(which might I add teaches students about coding their own games) is often times blocked from the school Wi-Fi just because you can play on the platform. Plus, not to mention, that there have been MANY reports that even when students actually want to go on a website for their school research, that said website is 9 times out of ten more likely to be blocked. The only way you can ACTUALLY explore the internet is literally on your smart phone mostly because LanSchool's censorship isn't as strong on mobile. However, not everyone has a smart phone, so if you want to deal with YouTube's broken Restriction mode and being unable to explore even the safest part of the internet, well, welcome to the school internet where nearly everything is easily blocked.
