Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.

Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///

Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.

Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

The extension does what it says... but why Chrome is missing such a simple function? Why do we need to add extensions for such a small thing that should ne normal default in ANY browser! Why Chrome doest switch to the new tab by default? Shame on Chrome...seriously!

If you encounter a blank page, try reinstalling the extension and reapplying the permissions. This resolved my issue.

Теперь, чтобы плагин мог открыть локальную домашнюю страницу надо дать разрешение на открытие файлов. Для этого надо перейти в chrome://extensions/ → Нажать у плагина кнопку «Сведения» → Включить разрешение «Разрешить открывать локальные файлы по ссылкам» (в другом переводе «Разрешить доступ к URL-адресам файлов»).

En las últimas versiones no abre mi pagina que está en mi PC, la configuras (por ejemplo: file:///X:/Documents/Marcadores.html) y no da error, pero luego no abre nada, cuando antes funcionaba. No se si es problema de la aplicación o de chrome, no encuentro solución.

Chrome標準で新しいタブを開くと予測変換がクリックできずに下のショートカットを押したことになるという不具合（３台のPCで同様の症状発生）があるため、この拡張のインストールは初期設定レベルで必要です。吊るしでは90％のChromeは、これをインストールすることにより100％の機能を発揮します。
