I’ve been messing around with the Portal DEX Chrome extension on its testnet, and I’ve gotta say, it’s got some serious potential. The whole custody-less vibe is my favorite part—no handing over my funds, no wrapped token headaches, just straight-up control. It’s built to handle swaps across chains like Bitcoin and Ethereum, which I’ve been testing out with fake assets, and it feels smooth for managing stuff like NFTs or DeFi plays. The interface is clean and simple, which I appreciate since I’m not trying to decode a puzzle just to move some coins. That being said, it’s still a testnet, so it’s not perfect. Swaps can lag a bit sometimes—probably just testnet growing pains—but it’s noticeable when I’m trying to chain a few moves together. I’ve seen chatter about it having a big user base already, but since it’s not mainnet yet, I’m just going off my own runs. No major crashes, but I’ve hit a couple of hiccups that made me restart the process. Security feels tight with the self-custody setup, though I’m extra paranoid about wallet links even in a test environment. Honestly, Portal DEX’s testnet has me hyped for the real deal. If you’re into crypto and don’t mind playing with a beta, it’s worth checking out. Can’t wait to see how it holds up when it’s live.
