OpenTabs uses a search bar on the new-tab page to enable users to save trees simply by searching the web.
🎯 Our mission
With OpenTabs, we made an active decision to save existing trees rather than planting new ones. You might be wondering why this matters or why we made this decision when other well-known companies have chosen to plant new ones. To put it simply, compelling studies show that planting trees won’t be enough to tackle climate change and that efforts on rainforest conservation lead to a more sustainable and lasting change.

AMAZING!! It's super similar to any other browser but the best part is I am helping out the environment and I can change my browser home screen image! Love it!
a really nice opportunity to save some trees, the only thing that bothers me is the background setting, it always turns white no matter what url i put in there, i wish i could just put images in there or something. unless that its great.

I was first very skeptical about this extension, but it has been the best decision that I had ever made for my pc. I know where they get their revenue from and once I read more of their reviews and about them, I immediately knew that I had to install it. Open Tabs has a wonderful greeting with a beautiful background that changes everyday and even shows you the time. Of course, you can customize it with your own picture and change it from military time to standard time. All of the changes Open Tabs had made on my browser hair been positive and I'm almost at 2,000 tab points(200 trees). So if you're still not sure if you should get it, take my word and install now! Edit 5/28/2021: They made a new function showing how many trees we planted as a community, I, personally am at 2,400 tabs but as a community we planted 300,000, so join the cause AND. INSTALL.
This in combination with ecosia makes it so easy to do even a little something every day to make this world a better place.
