OpenTabs uses a search bar on the new-tab page to enable users to save trees simply by searching the web.
🎯 Our mission
With OpenTabs, we made an active decision to save existing trees rather than planting new ones. You might be wondering why this matters or why we made this decision when other well-known companies have chosen to plant new ones. To put it simply, compelling studies show that planting trees won’t be enough to tackle climate change and that efforts on rainforest conservation lead to a more sustainable and lasting change.

It is amazing how this works and making a difference one tab at a time
I absolutely love this extension and how customizable it can be. Saving trees just by opening tabs? yes please. However there is one concern I have: whenever I try to change the background or wallpaper, it just turns white. I copy the link and paste it where it says I should paste it, but it just keeps turning up white. Other than that, it's great!
I absolutely love the idea of saving the planet by doing my daily activities like opening a million tabs while at work! Simple and easy to use!
It's a really great extension that is fun and cute, I had no issues with it from the beginning. 10/10 rating from me!
