Love the idea and love ActiveCampaign, but it just doesn't work the way I'd like it it. There are bugs sometimes when trying to select fields which is annoying but minor. The main item I'd like improved is how the email open tracking works inside the gsuite inbox. It is often unclear and could function better. If this can be improved and beat the functionality of the other plugins for email tracking I would be over the moon on ActiveCampaign.
Its a bit subpar compared to what we had previously with HubSpots Chrome Extension. I like that we can more easily update fields from within Gmail without going into AC...but it has crashed more than a few times. I also wish the extension would provide proactive notifications of contact activity, such as when they open an email, or when they click on a link...or when they are on a tracked page on our website!
Honestly, I was an early adopter of the chrome extension. I basically joined AC when the extension was in it's infancy stages. I remember the early struggles + despite them I have come to LOVE the AC extension. There is so much that we do from our inboxes that I believe the extension is better than the web dashboard (sorry dashboard team - you've got a lot of catching up to do) the extension + mobile app make AC what it is in my opinion. We rely on AC for email marketing but we also require a robust crm option + without question would have left AC had they not improved the extension. I definitely agree there are still things I would love to see but I couldn't be happier with the support teams willingness to jump on zoom calls answer questions, respond to emails + I don't just mean the customer support — the actual chrome extension team. If I'm not mistaken the chrome extension team also works on the saved responses section + if I had one complaint it would be the saved responses needs a MASSIVE overhaul — when you have 100+ saved responses we need a better solution. But it's a small irritation (sometimes big depending on who on our team you ask 🤪). Fantastic extension. One of my favorites!
Good functionality, it doesn't crash and it integrates good. It could have better performance and a bit more functionalities but overall is a good extension.
Useful simple plugin! Can add deals / see deal history for contacts in the database without needed to navigate away from the conversations. Tasks are easy to add and complete. Gmail tracking very useful feature when combined with automations. Used for the lat year and hasn't missed a beat.
AC is brilliant and the plugin helps make things simpler and easier - crashes sometimes but so does chrome.. simple to refresh and get back working quickly
I've been using this plugin for several years now. I can't say I'm 100% happy with it, but it does help. My biggest gripe about it is that if you need to reinstall the plugin [which will happen...] you lose all emails added to the ignore list. Why would this be held locally only and not synced to your ActiveCampaign account? The other thing is that it sometimes just doesn't load at all. I open my inbox and the plugin doesn't show and even after refreshing, logging out and back into AC it just doesn't want to appear. And then, for no apparent reason, it works again... So, not the most reliable and consistent plugin... Also, it wants to include emails from another [personal] Gmail account, which are completely separate from my main [work] Gmail account. It should be possible to set which email accounts the plugin should work with and for it to ignore any other. Other than that, I still find it useful to quickly lookup phone numbers, deals and notes associated with a contact I'm currently viewing in my Gmail inbox...
An okay extension... But not stellar yet. Wish it could auto populated names and phone numbers. At least names! When you click on ADD CONTACT you have to manually type name and number, not really a time saver. And also would be great to able to see and change deal stage straight from the extensions.
A useful extension, particularly for searching your contacts on the fly and for creating quick tasks.
I love AC, but this extension has a ways to go. I also have multiple instances of AC for multiple clients PLUS emails for each of them in GSuite. So that may cause some challenges, but for consultants, that will be common. If I'm logged into more than one email at a time (aka always), the email tracking doesn't work. I see in the screen shots above that there is button on the right sidebar, but I don't see one there unless I open an existing email. I'd like to have it from the create email screen as well.
