Secure Shell is an xterm-compatible terminal emulator and stand-alone SSH client for Chrome. It uses Native Client to connect directly to SSH servers without the need for external proxies.
A SFTP command line client is included. On ChromeOS, you can create SFTP mounts and access them from the Files app!
An alpha build of Mosh is included now too.
It has been well tested for a couple of years.

I've used this as my SSH solution for years, and it's always been a very convenient and easy solution. As of late though, there are a few quirks that have come up. Namely, shell history now gets erased if it exceeds the height of the window (in contrast to before, where I could scroll up to see command history - particularly if a process had a large amount of output), and with the extension it's less convenient to open an SSH instance in a new tab, since typing in "ssh <profile>" doesn't work the first time, and is less efficient than opening a new tab and clicking the Secure Shell logo. Otherwise, this has been the best SSH option I've used, and I'll continue using it for the foreseeable future.
Great!
Nice addition to any browser save's opening putty every 2 seconds :)
Very nice!
Extremely handy and usefule to have a Shell everywhere I have chrome intstalled.
This implementation is a breath of fresh air -lightweight/fast, uncluttered, and right there where I need it. When you are in and out of remote servers all day, the ability to use one program (chrome) to interact with the front AND back end is a huge click saver. Thanks and keep up the good work!
