Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.

i would give it 5 stars but it doesnt work in all places just yet, like youtube, but perfect for downloading movies off of pirated sites

Used to be a fantastic recording product but for the last couple of months it's become unstable and getting worse to the extent that it isn't worth installing at this time. Hopefully the problems can be fixed otherwise, find something else. When it worked it was brilliant - be great if they could roll it back 12 months.
Первый месяц все было нормально,потом при захвате начался ад,видео идет в FHD а он снимает в 480 или меньше. Потом начался ад с кол-вом в виде огромного списка и музыка отдельно по 10 раз и видео так же,а бывает такое что каждую секунду отдельно начинает записывать и список просто безконечный становится. отвратительно

Used to work great but now when you start recording a webcam live stream, it just keeps adding 10s of streams non-stop even though I ticked the option to "suppress adding videos". It needs an update to fix this but looks like it has been abandoned and there is no more development.

For several years this extension has been GREAT. But lately (March 2026) it started splitting recordings into separate audio & video files. The only option is to re-mux them later which is a GIANT hassle. At first it was just a few recordings it did this on, now it's become EVERY SINGLE RECORDING the files split this way. Also the "capture" option doesn't work very well & is an unreliable method for recordings of any length. I wish I could give a better review. I hope the makers of this extension can find a solution to get this working correctly and merging the audio & video again the way it always has. Fingers crossed that maybe they are working on this!
