With the Stream Recorder, you can easily save live and archived videos that are delivered in a typical HLS (m3u8) format.
Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.
Please note that Stream Recorder is not responsible for media content which you download, so we suggest to ensure the copyright and permissions of the media before downloading.

Will record/download streams off of a number of sites, some that other tools just won't download from! However if you are installing this hoping to get anything off of YouTube, forget it. It won't work with YouTube.

Please add support for WebRTC. Thanks. Also would like an option to force the save of captured files and manually add the video index if it doesn't automatically detect it.
Great extension - works flawlessly but is there a way to pause/resume recordings? I don't want to have a separate video file for every little segment. The documentation mentioned something about start/stop parameters but that doesn't seem to allow you to pause/resume a recording. Ideally I'd want to have the ability to pause/resume without stopping the actual stream.
That's exactly what I was after, all working fine!
Totally worth it. Would really love to donate some money

Works. Would be nice if you could choose between mp4 (video) and mp3 (audio). Right now I have to change the file extension manually.
