With the Stream Recorder, you can easily save live and archived videos that are delivered in a typical HLS (m3u8) format.
Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.
Please note that Stream Recorder is not responsible for media content which you download, so we suggest to ensure the copyright and permissions of the media before downloading.

It works perfectly before the update... rather than having people download this extension just for the hls downloader option only to see that the hls encryption has been removed are messed up. if you're removing the option then just remove the HLS word off your extension name bruh it's it'suseless
Not work
This used to be the best HLS to MP4 plugin for dumping videos from sites, but since the 1.2.0 update breaking HLS Encryption I'd say that it's no longer the definitive extension for this type of work, which is too bad. The old version 1.1.3 was definitively the best plugin of it's class. The old version of the plugin 1.1.3 still works if you download it off of a extension archive site, extract it, modify the manifest to not auto-update, and then import the unpacked extension in developer mode. It's too bad that the developers can't just re-release 1.1.3 branded as 1.2.1 or something like that.

This actually works 100% I tried 8 other extensions that all failed to download or did not even detect the video source. This really works and it downloads the exact quality of the video your after, not a lower quality. First it downloads the video, then you save it, which to my suprise was fast. I normally use a torrent client to get movies, but this was super easy so is probably my go to from now on. Movie streams, facebook videos, youtube, anything online so far for me no problem. Thank so much you developers, we appreciate you, the best video downloader extension on chrome. 10/10
you are God, can't download the video it dont have m3u8 in network so FFMPEG can't catch it, but the recording work amazing love it.
