With the Stream Recorder, you can easily save live and archived videos that are delivered in a typical HLS (m3u8) format.
Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.
Please note that Stream Recorder is not responsible for media content which you download, so we suggest to ensure the copyright and permissions of the media before downloading.

Just stopped working completely one day. Will do the whole process of downloading a video but the second you press save chrome just throws an error. Don't waste your time.
Please add an option to reset capture. some times it would be helpful if I want to seek to specific position and then start capturing.

dreadful on Vivaldi browser to many bugs edge works much better so not really blaming the extension more Vivaldi finding a lot of extensions have issues with vivaldi even though its chrome based just adding to review now finding to many times fails to save recorded files becoming more and more unreliable on edge brave and Vivaldi have lost so many streams because of this
I rated this 5 stars but doesn't save recorded files sometimes, so I bumped it down to a 4. It's easy to save a vid with this extension and it's the only extension that saves the filename as webpage title, which is very handy for me.
