I have to say I found this extension today, and after sharing it with my group, we instantly made the decision to switch to this VTT. We've been looking for something that was like dndbeyond mashed up with owlbear and this was it. Most VTTs have a steep learning curve, but this was really simple. The entire group was astonished at how easy it was to do the majority of what you need in order to host a pretty compelling and engaging game online. Thank you cyruzzo, I will be using this in my campaigns going forward.
This extension is absolutely amazing! Having left Roll20, this is an awesome alternative, ESPECIALLY since it integrates directly with D&D Beyond. The Dev team on this is amazing and super quick to address any bugs found and implement feature requests.
This extension has been on my radar for a few months. I never used it, but I did have it installed. I recently moved away from my regular D&D group and decided that I wanted to try this tabletop and see if it will work for what we needed. It did everything we needed and a few things we wanted. Thank you for creating and maintaining this amazing product.
As far as I can tell, everything is excellent. It does almost 100% of what I want, and definitely does all I need.
Absolutely one of the best extensions out there for D&D fans who purchased reference materials from D&D Beyond and now what to use them during a session. It's easy to learn, though I would recommend listening to the YouTube guide once you get started. Very easy to use without a significant learning curve so often required of similar tools. The developers have been prompt, thorough and professional. If you might be considering a VTT experience that is free to use, this is the one for you. I've been using it for 7 months now and it is amazing! Quick, easy to use and the intergration with dndbeyond produces excellent user experience. We only bought d&dbeyond content so we can use it in AboveVTT.
This extension is amazing! Easy to use, and it even incorporates material purchased on DnD Beyond. The developers continually monitor and respond to comments within their Discord channel, and even implement ideas from us users. Tool, and staff all get 5 stars from me.
I started with Roll20, came to AboveVTT - loved it. I then flirted with Shard Tabletop - liked it but missed the integration with all the stuff both me and my players have bought in DnD Beyond. Have looked at Foundry and it scares me! if you want a really simple, intuitive VTT that gives you access to all your content within DnD Beyond this is the extension for you! The team are continually evolving the features as well. The discord community is great and super responsive. Take the jump, you won't regret it.
Super impressive VTT. Tons of useful features already with more coming! I love the D&D Beyond integration baked in.
I am a professional DM and this is simply the best tool around. Easy for new players to learn and full of features this VTT allows me to improvise scenes incredibly quick. If your players don't go where the adventure is then you can quickly adapt. With just a few clicks you can grab any map from the internet and with a few more clicks stock it full of monsters from DND Beyond. It cuts the prep time for each session down immensely. The developers are also super helpful and are quick to troubleshoot and come up with solutions any time you have a problem. I highly recommend this VTT over all others.
