I use Foundry VTT for most of my online games, but it's scary how good Above VTT is for being a free passion project that you install as an extension. Right now I use Above VTT for my in-person home games to enhance the experience and access my D&D Beyond content mid-session. It works out well since there's no hassle involved, whereas with Foundry VTT I'm constantly tweaking and fixing things. Above VTT still has some ways to go before becoming my go-to for D&D 5e, but it's well on its way to getting there.

Absolutely phenomenal extension. Super easy to use, does exactly what you want. They recently added encounter integration so now you can create an encounter in D&D Beyond and it will be in the VTT to pull in which is fantastic. Combat goes by so much easier with this I love it. Have recommended it to literally every single one of my friends who plays D&D

Nothing but great experiences with this extension. Easily one of the best VTTs (Virtual Table Top) out there for its seamless integration with D&D Beyond and having a simple and intuitive user interface. My favorite feature is having quick access to character sheets and monster info, directly from D&D Beyond, without having to open tab after tab. So so helpful!

Great virtual tabletop that integrates into D&D Beyond amazingly! Makes it easy to game together, and takes care of the dice rolling + math straight away. Amazing app, and great support on the discord channel. Does way more than you would expect from a free extension.

Used it for the first time for an in person game. Having all the players able to easily use their DDB character sheets make things incredibly simple across the board. I will definitely be using this for all my future DDB related games going forward. The only thing I'd like to see soon would be dynamic fog/vision. My players roleplay their character knowledge, but it's a lot more fun if the thing hiding around the corner is actually hidden. As a work in progress this is already incredibly promising.

From someone who has lot's of D&D Beyond material, including modules, this is the BEST D&D vtt. I've looked into every vtt and nothing integrates better! I've explored a lot of vtt's and this one is very easy to use and excellent for prepping games. As a new GM, I can have my module from D&D Beyond ready to go within a few minutes. It's easy to learn and doesn't take a long time to learn. Watch the brief Tutorial on the opening screen is all you need to get started.

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't been said already, it's just awesome! Only issues we've ever encountered is during long sessions one or two players might have to refresh because they stop getting everyones movements but that's not often.
