The WikiTree Sourcer extension saves time and typing by assisting WikiTree users with three main tasks:
1. From a WikiTree profile page it provides the ability to search other genealogy websites for relevant records.
2. From one of these genealogy websites' records page it can extract data and build a citation.
3. Also from one of these genealogy websites records page it can search other genealogy websites for similar records. For example on an Ancestry page it can help find free versions of the same original source.
The extension is free but donations are welcome at: https://buymeacoffee.com/RobPavey
The extension has very little performance impact unless you are actively using it. It does not modify any web pages and does nothing (other than registering a listener) until it's popup menu is used.

Every WikiGenealogist should have this extension. It's a HUGE timesaver and ensures conformity of data entered.
I installed this extension and went a while without using it because I didn't understand how to use it. Once I started playing around with it though I fell in love! It saves so much time, and it really is easy to use. I would advise anyone interested in using WikiTree seriously to invest in a little time installing and learning to use this tool, it will pay off!

I would be lost without this! It does a great job searching all the sites and copying the citations accurately.
This is an amazing app. I LOVE it and can't live without it. It can help you search for sources on multiply sites. It can save you hours by building a household table or list for a census record.
This is a fantastic tool for anyone working on WikiTree. It not only lets you search for sources, but with one click build a source citation and an associated biography narrative. Very highly recommended.
Repeating (verbatim) my post made in the Apple App Store on 15 April 2022: Can't live without it. Wonderful app to add onto WikiTree. Has made it much easier to be accurate. Thanks Rob legend :) Adding additional comments/thoughts since April: Love that it formats citations in a way which helps everyone achieve the WikiTree citation guidelines/aspirations. Also love that it creates citations as recommended by the WikiTree England Project. You are amazing Rob - please keep developing this incredible app/extension. About to buy you another coffee or 2!!
I can't believe the review written below - this is an invaluable tool for regular WikiTree users. The format is in the England Project style and gives all the information needed to trace the original source back to the archive it is held in. Top marks to Rob for coming up with such a useful tool
Problems I have with this plugin so far ... * Inferior visual layout for some/most(?) citations. * Does not translate domain names internationally properly. * Duplicates info and includes useless info. * Incorrectly labels sources as Myheritage.
I LOVE this extension. It's all great but the best is the ability to create the Household Table. This has literally saved me hours of tedium. You can even open any source for a census that's already in the profile and create the household table. Thank you SOOOO much, priceless.
