To increase privacy in public spaces the Privacy Extension For WhatsApp™ Web blurs your messages. Your messages and other content only reveals upon hovering over with your mouse cursor. Additionally you can quickly toggle all effects by using a keyboard shortcut or by clicking the toggle button in the extension menu.
It adapts to your needs by letting you decide which elements you want to blur. Most important options:
- All messages in chat: Blurs all messages in the current chat.
- Last messages preview: Blurs all message previews on the left.
- Media preview: Blurs all images, videos, stickers, ... in separation from the text.
- Profile pictures: Blurs all profile pictures.

it is not working, not hiding my chat
I've been using this since October but now it is not working, not hiding my chat
hi, its still not working for google chrome latest version after update latest version (v 3.1.0).. my google chrome Version Version 126.0.6478.63(Official Build) (64-bit), can you fix it ? UPDATE : Hey.. its work again for latest version (v 3.2.0), thank you.. 👍👍 Update 2026-05-26 : This latest version not compatible with latest version of google chrome Version 148.0.7778.179 (Official Build) (64-bit) maybe? this extension not work again, please update bro. thank you Update again 2026-05-26 : after trying re-installing extension, this extension is still working, but not all feature, its for "Last Message Preview" feature its not working, and also not blur last message section while activate "All Message in Chat"
