This extension makes up for the fact that Chrome does not have an option to keep its download list clear at all times. You can clear the downloads list yourself by hand, but Chrome currently doesn't have an option to automatically clear it for you. This extension does it for you automatically.
This extension works in a very simple way: After a specified amount of time (the default is 5 seconds), the downloads list is cleared out for you. Don't worry, the files you downloaded are still there, and in-progress downloads are not harmed.
Version 3: **You can now specify the amount of time before the extension clears the download list. Open the extension options and enter your own value.** The default interval is 5 seconds.
If you are updating from version 2, Chrome may ask you to grant the extension more permissions. This is necessary to store your preference. As always, you can inspect the code yourself.

This is an updated version of an extension which was originally written by me. When Google changed their API requirements, I never updated the extension to fix it, and eventually my version got removed from the Chrome Web Store. This new author has taken up the mantle, and re-released it with the necessary updates, and also made it open source on GitHub. It works perfectly for me when I tried it on the following systems: - Mac Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) - Windows Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) Please note! There is an unfixed bug in the Google Chrome API which causes this extension to always reset the downloads folder to the default folder. This is a bug in the Chrome API, not a bug in the "Always Clear Downloads 2" extension. For instance, if you configure Chrome's default download folder to "c:\my_downloads" in Chrome's Advanced Settings, then this extension will keep resetting the folder to be that. If you download a file to a different target location using "Save link as...", and pick a different location such as "c:\temp\testfolder", then instead of that new location being the new default, this extension will cause downloads to go back to "c:\my_downloads" on the next download. Personally I like that behavior, but sometimes that's different from what people expect. I filed a bug with Chrome about it, but after nobody touched it for a few years, it got closed/ignored: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=158965 Other than that, this extension works great.
perfecto para que lo que se descargue se quite de la pantalla, menos obstrucción más comodidad.
При отмене закачки, файл остается в списке и не удаляется автоматически. Думаю стоит доработать этот момент. If you cancel the download, the file remains in the list and is not automatically deleted. I think it's worth to refine this point.
