Redirector is an extension that allows you to specify patterns for pages that should be automatically redirected to other pages. E.g. you always want http://example.com/foo.html to redirect to http://example.com/bar.html.
This can be useful for instance to skip confirmation pages after posting messages on message boards, skipping ad pages that appear before you can view content on certain sites, redirecting from http to https on sites where you always want the https version, redirecting from one hostname to another for proxy servers, or just anywhere where it takes you two or more clicks to get to what you want.
The extension supports both wildcards and regular expressions in patterns. Regular expressions support capturing parantheses so you could define the pattern: http://foo.com/bar.php\?id=(\d+) and define the redirect as http://bar.com/baz.php?id=$1. In that case http://foo.com/bar.php?id=1234 would automatically redirect to http://bar.com/baz.php?id=1234. Wildcards can also use $1,$2 in the redirect urls, $1 is the contents of the first star match, $2 of the second and so on.
Click on the Redirector button next to your address bar to get started adding and editing redirects, and use the Enable/Disable button to quickly disable the addon.

It simply does not work.
Redirector has always been great for managing redirections for all sites & "apps" from one extension. At least if you don't want/need to delve into 'monkey' userscripts, which are next-level versatile & powerful - but not to everyones taste. This V3 revival seems to redirect just as well on Opera as the original by Einar Egilsson (RIP). Migrating between is also easy using the export & import function. However, there are currently some regressive UI issues on Opera. The 'R' icon used to adapt to dark mode (now it's barely visible), and the text on the "Disable Redirector" + "Edit Redirects" buttons overlap each other. So I'll continue using the original on Opera. If you're wondering why I use Opera, for starters it still supports adblocking, and its unique Workspaces feature.
are these reviews all bots? this extension is an exact fork of the old one except this one DOES NOT WORK whatsoever lol. this is either malware or a donation scam, either way don't bother, absolute garbage. rate this review helpful so other people can see it.

Perfect, does what I want, I'm coming from another chrome extension that was not available anymore with the latest Chrome updates.

Thanks for picking up its maintenance! Maybe bump the version. Both the original and this fork say version 3.5.3. And if you could look into why storage sync seems glitchy, that'd be great too. It's not syncing properly, sometimes even resetting the rules list after I import a saved one. The help page says 8192 bytes... so maybe I've got too many rules, but I can't tell.
