Recordings does not work on chrome in ubuntu. Tried many things.
What year is this? We live in an age where these types of programs are unnecessary so any company that creates courses online to use software that may or may not work on any modern computer clearly is out of touch with reality. Use the internet as it's meant to be used and don't opt for this kind of software. There's no need for it, everything can be embedded in the browser and work out-of-the-box.
As a developer I try to go easy on the hard work of others but this piece of software is absolutely TERRIBLE.
Cisco deprecated the Chrome extension and now uses a web-based app. This extension does not support audio; you have to call a staffed phone line and wait for the operator to attend you. The replacement web app is supposed to have integrated audio. I'm disappointed Cisco didn't push a communication to users about the change or deactivate it, because it's been over a year and I had to go looking to find out what was going on.

About the discussions about using Chrome to join in or start a Webex Meeting... it is a 2-step process... first step will ask for the Webex Extension for Chrome and second step will run Cisco_Webex_Add-On.exe... your organization will need to allow and or distribute the Webex extension for Chrome as well as allow the execution of Cisco_Webex_Add-On.exe that as mentioned by someone in one of the previous reviews... it requires elevated privileges. So if your organization has already allowed you to add the Webex Extension for Chrome but is not allowing you to run/execute the Cisco_Webex_Add-On.exe... you will get stuck on a page 2 of 2 and all you will get is that file Cisco_WebEx_Add-On.exe downloaded to your computer. (You may find an antivirus, host intrusion prevention software, and or host firewall blocking that). In our case Ivanti/LANDesk product was blocking the execution of that file. For weeks our workaround was to ask users to run temporary application or join using web app. We shared this with Cisco TAC and hope they can provide more information on that. That's all for now.
