Cookie Auto Delete is an extension that helps you quickly erase cookies for a tab when it closes (Tab-Only mode). Moreover, you can set the addon to remove cookies for all tabs when the browser is closed (Session-Only mode).
The toolbar icon serves as an ON|OFF switch to quickly turn the addon ON or OFF. This addon can potentially improve your privacy as it deletes cookies (and most importantly third-party cookies) which are used to track user's behavior across multiple websites. Please note that, if you want to switch modes, open the addon options and mark the desired option. Moreover, this addon has a whitelisting tool to easily exclude a domain from Cookie Auto Delete. Simply add a domain comma separate to the designated area on the options page.

Oh, this extension frustrates me so much. It's this close to perfect, but the few issues are almost deal breakers. Minor issue: you have to add entries to the allowlist by hand. As in, copy the new website hostname, open the extension's options page, add the hostname to a single comma-separated field. Eugh. MAJOR issue: you can only allowlist hostnames and not entire domains. Say you've allowlisted proton.me, account.proton.me and mail.proton.me. Then you go to drive.proton.me and close the tab. Bam, all your proton.me cookies are deleted and you are signed out of everything. This completely breaks sites like Dreamwidth that use one hostname per user.
It does what it says in the tin -but nothing else. It will delete cookies either when closing tab or browser, no airs or graces. Having to manually enter the site/cookies you want to keep is a pain.
Do exactly what it is meant to: delete my session's cookies. I only have to keep those I really want so that I won't be signed out from them. I don't know why Google removed "Auto delete cookies when exit Chrome"!
Nějak to nefunguje:-(
THIS THING IS MEANT TO ONE THING IT CAN'T EVEN DO THAT

Took me some weeks to realize that this was what kept my browser logging me out of everything, constantly, every time. If you have your browser synched with Google (and thus Gmail and other Google services), this is an absolute no-go. Causes more pain than solves problems.
A lot of cookies and local storage is still there. Not sure how helpful this addon can be..
Clear local storage for closing tab, please? window.local.storage window.session.storage
