妈呀，122.0.6261.152版用不了，扩展自动升级的，能不能加个限制，扩展适用什么版本的浏览器，现在自动升级了，也不知道去哪下载旧版
I love this extension and have been using it for years, but just last week it started unmuting every tab by default, and when I click "Mute current tab" it does nothing, still says "Mute current tab". No muting any more. I'd love to get this fixed if possible...
Big fan of this extention, the update give new behaviours that weren't there before. I just need it to mute new tabs and not to mute the one i've unmuted. It seems it mutes unmuted tabs when you open another tab in the background. I would love to work with you on this please reach out as this has been one of my fav extentions as a streamer who doesn't want all sounds going out
I hope I'm not jumping the gun here but it seems like we have the most excellent automute back and in fine form after just a couple of days of misbehavior. Thanks for fixing it so quickly! This extension is one of very few that I plan to use forever. Thanks for all of your great work.
EDIT: 14 April 2025 - The latest update to the extension seems to have fixed all the issues I noted in my original (one star) review. It is back to being an essential extension in my Chrome arsenal. ORIGINAL REVIEW: No stars if I could. Worked great before this latest update - even though Chrome tried to take it away. This update randomly mutes Youtube videos - WHILE PLAYING!!! Lets you watch one video, then when you try to watch another the tab is muted for no reason. Until this is fixed I've switched to a different extension, that doesn't work as well as the old automute, but better than this new buggy version.
Went from great to buggy. Now seems to randomly mute tabs as I am listening. No idea why. Thought my earbuds were going bad at first. Thought maybe it was switching away and back to a tab, but that is not it. Hoping for an update - will update review if fixed, but for now, just going to turn it off.
New update ruined it. Now it just mutes randomly. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Removed.
Maybe my definition of domain is different from theirs. I'm not sure this extension is worth having anymore.
Simple and wonderful
Adding to the chorus: this extension used to work perfectly but something broke a couple months ago. Now, even if youtube with wildcards is on my whitelist, youtube videos opened in new tabs will be muted. I noticed that if I go into the extension options with muted tabs already open and hit 'Save', the webpages that are on the whitelist will unmute themselves. So clearly the whitelist still works, but something is now preventing the extension from automatically applying the rule to new tabs. I hope the developers can take a look and debug the issue.
