White or Black list mode DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. I have to unmute my favorite tab manually every single time. BTW good extension for Chrome. I was confuse for the text in the option a little bit: "Specify a list of whitelisted URLs that will not be muted automatically." and then you see "Specify a list of blacklisted URLs that will not be muted automatically." I think that is why my black or white list was never work...
I LOVED this extension, right up until today, when it stopped working. I deleted it, then reinstalled, and still...<sigh> Was good while it lasted.
This extension saves many people's lives. Enough said.
Dan's the man with the automute... extenshan? In all seriousness, we both hate auto-play video ads and this easily solves the problem. What more is needed?
Not as great as I would like it to be. I'd like this better if it's updated. First, it seems to unmute automatically when I bring a tab to the front. There should be an option to ONLY automute, not auto-unmute (I mean the extension name is AutoMute, not AutoMute&Unmuter). Second, there needs to be option to be able to use both black and whitelists. If I use the blacklist for a set of annoying sites, it doesn't mute for every other site. If I use the whitelists, it blocks every other site and I have to manually whitelist sites as I go.

Pleased white listing has been added, and the mute function works flawlessly for all websites.
works great for the most part. the only issue is that it automatically mutes play music window with no way to unmute, so i have to disable to extension
