Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.

What you haven't done is WORK.

Wow I want this to work. So frustrating the sync does not work, my settings get reset daily.. nothing passes from one computer to the next. Makes it an absolute nightmare when coming home from work.

It's pretty good. This app is mainly to stay focused while doing your work, but I mainly used it to just end my addiction with the diseased-infested game called ROBLOX. But the thing is, you should make it where the users have more ability to edit how long they go to websites Instead of the amount of time you can spend on websites from the blocked lists, you should make a completely new list, and have that be the list to refer too when you want to edit the amount of time you spend on it. Because blocked should be 100% blocked. Not sure if I explained this well enough, but other than that-- this app is pretty good.

I am horrible at staying focused when i'm doing homework because i'll click a link and before you know it its been two hours and I have managed to type two words. That's why I am a huge fan of the Nuclear option it blocks the sites I get distracted on while still allowing me to use the sites need to get my work done.

Very helpful in general. I appreciate what they're trying to do with the barrage of popups that come up when you loosen the settings, but I don't think it's effective. What would be much more effective is a way to shame you into not turning down the settings. For example, if you disable the extension temporarily, when you re-enable it it would post a shaming message to your facebook wall. And you could connect to other friends, and it would notify them how much time you spent goofing off in the course of a day. The main change I want to see though should be an easy one: The Stayfocusd icon on *any* page should be a different color to signify when your timer is going down. If I'm on twitter.com, then it's red. If I'm on my work website, it's blue, *even* if I left twitter or a twitter linked article open in another window, and my timer is ticking down. When that happens, I often have to disable the extension for the day so that I can still use twitter sparingly. Great job though, excellent extension.

harsh, but necessary. Also, the dialogue when you try to extend your time is funny
