thx, no idea which drunken monkey at google thought automatic renaming of files was a good idea. firefox works like this addon by default btw, google, sometimes you really could get the impression that you just don't wanna chrome to at least be as good as mozilla's browser.
Great and simple (3 lines of open source code) extension implementing what should be a setting in Chrome.
