Downloads Router is a tiny extension that helps you avoid cleaning the dreaded "Downloads" folder by automatically saving files in the right places.
Downloads Router springs into action whenever you start downloading a file. It looks at the filename, filetype, or origin domain (source website) of the item, and matches this information against rules that you define on the extension's Options page. Should a matching rule exist, a "suggestion" is sent to the browser, indicating where it should save the file; this suggestion may however be overridden, as for instance when you use the "Save As..." feature.

Extension is super i love it, after the recent update it broke a few things one of these is the following would it be possible to have it work with this extension? "X (Twitter) Video Downloader" link: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/x-twitter-video-downloade/akmdionenlnfcipmdhbhcnkighafmdha
Since the latest version of Video DownloadHelper (10.0) was released, it has been interfering with this add-on, rendering it unusable. If possible, please address this issue.
This extension is so helpful in sorting my downloads so that I can find them easily. Please update it for latest chrome policies.
Best extention ever for me! Update in november 2025 :) Thank you
Работает как надо, но при запуске браузера именно это расширение его фризит. Браузер vivaldi
This is an amazing extension that I wish I had found years ago. One thing that was annoying and almost a deal breaker till I found a workaround is that if you use MIME to try to sort files that are covered under more than one MIME this seems to always put stuff in the more broad MIME folder. Eg .CBZ is a zip file type "application/x-cbz" for comic books would always go to where zips "application/zip" where saved. The workaround for this is to just set for these filetypes the rules under Finename and don't have any rules for them with MIME.
This is one of the best download management extensions for Chrome
The extension works great, I am having an issue where it is saving the files in a folder titled "null" rather than the destination I entered of "Quotes". Apart from that, it works perfectly.
The idea is great. Unfortunately, the extension isn't working
