It prevents a lot of requests from reaching networks like Google Hosted Libraries, and serves local files to keep sites from breaking. Complements regular content blockers.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Websites have increasingly begun to rely much more on large third-parties for content delivery. Cancelling requests for ads or trackers is usually without issue, however blocking actual content, not unexpectedly, breaks pages. The aim of this add-on is to cut out the middleman by providing lightning speed delivery of local (bundled) files to improve online privacy.
• Protects privacy by evading large delivery networks that claim to offer free services.
• Complements regular blockers such as uBlock Origin (recommended), Adblock Plus, et al.
• Works directly out of the box; absolutely no prior configuration required.

TLDR: Decentraleyes in fact doesn't do anything. I ran checks (the developers website is misleading) and it seems to be just for entertainment purposes. Decentraleyes is completely obsolete and non-functional on modern versions of Google Chrome, making it entirely useless to install. While it was designed to protect privacy by intercepting third-party CDN requests and serving common JavaScript libraries from your local drive, network analysis confirms that it silently fails, allowing all data to bypass the extension and download over the live internet. This failure is (in part) due to Chrome's strict Manifest V3 architecture, which blocks the legacy redirection methods the extension relies on, combined with modern browser cache partitioning that already mitigates the exact tracking vectors Decentraleyes aimed to fix.
Надоел этот постоянный всплывающий баннер, требующий верификации данных через какую-то игру с кубиками для доступа к сайту.
This is a very helpful extension. I recommend privacy-centered users to try using it.
Works great and have no issues! Love it!
So very important I've heard, 5 out of 5
Большое спасибо вам за прекрасное расширение. Оно хорошо дополняет любой блокировщик рекламы.
This has recently started making ChatGPT not work for some reason.
Вылетает браузер при использовании данного расширения, будто происходит утечка памяти. Оно давно не обновлялось, думаю нужно править. Раньше такого не было. Версия браузера 121.0.6167.81.
Just found out about this cool project today! Thank God I found Decentral eyes 👀 it's in the name right?
Decentraleyes is a unique and powerful privacy-enhancing extension that smartly protects you from tracking via large Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). - Stops CDN Tracking: Prevents tracking by major CDNs (like Google Hosted Libraries, Microsoft Ajax CDN, etc.) that often log your visits when websites request common resources (like fonts or JavaScript libraries) from them. - Serves Common Libraries Locally: Instead of fetching these standard web resources from external CDNs, Decentraleyes instantly provides them from its own local storage, cutting out the third-party request entirely. - Enhanced Privacy: Significantly reduces your digital footprint by eliminating unnecessary connections to potentially tracking servers, complementing your existing ad/content blockers. - Improves Speed (Potentially): By serving resources locally, it can sometimes lead to faster page loads, as it avoids network latency for these common files. - Lightweight & Transparent: Like uBlock Origin, it's designed to be efficient and operates seamlessly in the background. It's free, open-source, and trustworthy. - Set and Forget: Simply install it, and it works automatically. No configuration is needed for excellent baseline protection. That's it! Decentraleyes adds a crucial layer of privacy protection that many users overlook. It works perfectly alongside tools like uBlock Origin. A must-have for anyone serious about reducing online tracking. Huge thanks to the developers for this clever and indispensable tool. Highly recommended!
