Chrome does not let you customize the new tab page. The new tab page always opens a custom Google Search page, and Chrome extensions do not work on this page.
This extension lets you point the new tab page to a URL of your choice. It can be Google.com, your company's homepage, or a blank page. It is lightweight on your browser (<50kb - compared to, for example, Grammarly, which is 36MB), has no tracking, and is straightforward to use.

For some reason, pages from google websites will not retain their regular tab icons, but instead will be replaced by the custom new tab's icon. For instance, my custom new tab is Todoist, and now when I switch to Gemini or other pages, Todoist remains at the tab icon
It works, but the redirect causes a full white screen flash, even if the flash chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark is enabled and about:blank is dark.
Does what it says, but "it has tracking" included to posthog, the description that says "... has no tracking ..." is false !!!! Removing
