this can easily be 5 but gave it 3 if the keys can be done so that they work with unloaded tabs and with global key (within chrome at least) examples here: - duplicate tab and previous tab do not work when tab is unloaded, and when address bar highlighted. meaning if chrome thinks you selected address bar section it'll think you are trying to enter address thus rendering these short cuts unusable. - if the tab is not yet loaded (open a new and loaded previous session) you cannot use previous tab. "previous tab" will work only after tabs are loaded. - if theres somethign like "chrome://extensions/" as one of the tab or "chrome://flags/" etc tab mixed in there, it will allow ctrl + TAB to go next tab but disallow "previous tab" to work and i think it doesnt recognize that as a tab but rather as a setting within chrome. once these are fixed, easily 5 stars.
This REALLY works! This is the only extension, and I went over a bunch of them, which could change the hotkeys in chrome !! Chrome has become very good lately, the jade is a little smarter than the Opera, and the only thing that didn’t suit me was that you can’t edit the hot keys of windows and tabs, specifically cntrl+n bind to open a new tab, not windows, but now everything works, thank you developer!! I just want to add that you need to assign keys in the settings of the chrome itself: extensions / hot keys, it only works for me ..
all I want is to have a quick shortcut for "Open Bookmarks Bar" I don't get why you excluded unfortunately the only one I'm seeking
This extension has been broken since early 2019, which causes it to break many websites you may visit when it is enabled. It was never updated for the Google Chrome security patch, as documented in this github issue on the extension developer's homepage, thus causing any website using CORS scripts to not function: https://github.com/mikecrittenden/shortkeys/issues/235
Very nice so far
A little tricky to get working - the FAQ needs updating I'd say. But it's exactly what I needed!
Cannot disable the Esc key.
Works great!!! You will need it iff you need to work in kiosk mode.
dosen't work with the ctrl+w shortcut which closes tabs.
Ridiculously useful if you have a keyboard on your smartphone and want to actually take advantage of it.
