This extension detects M3U8 streaming formats on the active tab and offers to download these segmented streams as a single file to the user's local disk.
This extension detects all possible video qualities and uses direct disk writing to store segments. So there is no need to have a recovery plan from a possible crash. Your data is written instantly to the local file and is ready to use. It also merges all segments automatically when the file is fetched. To improve download capability, the extension also sets the referrer header of the original page.
This extension uses multiple threads to download the HLS stream to increase the downloading speed and stability. Also, it supports resuming the download process when there is a network failure (Thanks to the TDM.JS engine).
How to use it:
1. Go to a streaming website like https://videojs.com/
2. Wait until the toolbar color changes

Not working, Getting Error as window.showDirectoryPicker is not a function. Kindly check this
Extremely useful extention. i just found out that if you can find the spot on the unsupported websites, where they hide the download urls. you can just copy paste all of the 25 lines of formated/half encrypted jibberish into the extention window and it will automatically extract/decode the download urls! For this website/projecty i will download the 720p .mkv video and the 360p .mp4 video. the .mkv got no sound but higher resolution. so i will take the sound from the 360p .mp4 video and merge it with the 720p .mkv with no audio. likely with the legendary opensource ffmpeg tool. (no audio files to download it seems) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- new trick i just discovered. on my target website i suddenly could not download any videos today. after a lot of trial and error i found the solution after giving up. i had to delete the cookies & log out from the website it seems. that means the website likely got a cookie that on purpose make downloads not downloading. even after restarting chrome, turning extention on/off, log-out and log-in of website etc. it was a cookie OR that fact that i had turned the extention permissions from "everywhere" to "only when you click the extention". most likely it was deleting the cookies that did the trick. sometimes if your downloads dont download (extention is also given 0 workers = 0 cpu cores to do the job) the fix seems to be restarting google chrome.
Does exactly what I wanted.
Did precisely what I needed it to do, no muss or fuss.
