This might be an amazing app eventually, but it's extremely annoying to use right now. Importing from Royal Road only works 1 in maybe 20 attempts. The Android app has a bar for the entire book in the notification player and if you accidentally tap it, you lose your place. It doesn't automatically bookmark so when this happens, good luck getting back to it. Pronunciation are inconsistent, including with their tool for fantasy words / names. It's missing basic features like auto-rewinding a bit when you pause / restart, so you have to do that manually every single time. Reading has weird pauses in it for no reason. At the best of times, it reads like a narrator who couldn't care less about the story. And I could go on for a while, but in short, they have a lot to work on if they don't want a rival company to eat their lunch.
I'd have given this five stars when I first used it. The first app I'd used in which the AI sounded truly human. But it's quite buggy and, in many months I've seen no serious efforts to fix the bugs. I'll definitely shop around when my annual subscription is up.
Easy to use and very versatile. It has a great selection of voices to chose from and they talk as people naturally speak.
I have been listening to every single fanfiction and webnovel I can get my hands on. Combine this with the WebToEpub extension and it's just *chefs kiss*
I am loving Eleven Reader! I'm writing a book, then import it into Eleven Reader to hear it back. I use the voice of Sir Michael Caine. Wow, it sounds fantastic. I 've had this program for months and just started using it on my PC and phone. Great job on this application. Eleven Reader is the best thing to happen to me in 2026.
1. Need to sign in. OK but.. 2. Unable to read on webpage. Should use other extension, no need to login and can read the webpage instantly and easy.
While not perfect it is pretty damn good (9/10). I even bought a subscription. The reading is flawless with great voice options. The uploading widget works great on some pages and not so great on others. The library is a bit clunky and needs some refining, but does work. It would be nice if it had drag and drop. I would like the ability to combine chapters, and it may be there already but I have not found it yet. This app does what I want and I do like it quite a bit.
I never leave reviews. This app is incredible. I am a teacher, grad student, and have dyslexia. This app is a game changer for me. I have never been satisfied with other TTS apps. This makes me work as a teacher grading paper and a scholar doing research so much each. I'm very grateful this exists.
It doesn't work but i love the extension nevertheless and i'm on Opera browser and the site works but won't display properly... i'm sad because i would have loved to use the extension..
Even though the ChatGPT Atlas Browser makes it hard to use Extensions in general, I was able to manage to get it working and it's hands down one of the best things ever. I use basically daily, across the Web, iOS and Android.
