Switch to typing in a different language with the click of the mouse, and switch back just as easily. The Google Input Tools extension provides virtual keyboards for over 90 languages, full IMEs or direct transliteration for over 30 different scripts, and handwriting input for over 40 languages.
What's New?
✓ Malayalam now prioritize Arabic numerals as the default output when typing numbers. This change makes it easier to input numbers, as Malayalam numerals are not commonly used.
Usage Instructions:
When you first install the extension, click on the extension icon, then select "Extension Options" in the pop-up menu. A new tab will appear where you can select your preferred languages or input methods. The keyboards, IMEs or handwriting input you add to 'Selected input tools' can be enabled at any time from the extension itself. You can always return to this options page to add, remove, or change the order of your input tools.

I'm using Chinese Pinyin Input, but it seems, that it doesn't work within Google Drive (Writer) and Omnibar. Needs to be fixed.

Very good plug-in, easily able to right in my native language Hindi. Loving it. Work very good.
It doesn't work for me since last week. If I click on "Show keyboard", it doesn't show it. It seems the two issues are related.
I like the way that you guys at Google make the Chromebook more realistic by these great apps and tools. Vietnamese input method (and others languages, too) on Chrome is really nice! In my opinion, the Telex input method doesn't need the virtual keyboard, so it would be an option that we can turn it off (completely).
this is a very great extension with no mistake in persian language.tnx
Does not work at all in google docs, which is the only place I do any typing in another language.
It is very good & it may become excellent if it may work offline too.
