Switch to typing in a different language with the click of the mouse, and switch back just as easily. The Google Input Tools extension provides virtual keyboards for over 90 languages, full IMEs or direct transliteration for over 30 different scripts, and handwriting input for over 40 languages.
What's New?
✓ Malayalam now prioritize Arabic numerals as the default output when typing numbers. This change makes it easier to input numbers, as Malayalam numerals are not commonly used.
Usage Instructions:
When you first install the extension, click on the extension icon, then select "Extension Options" in the pop-up menu. A new tab will appear where you can select your preferred languages or input methods. The keyboards, IMEs or handwriting input you add to 'Selected input tools' can be enabled at any time from the extension itself. You can always return to this options page to add, remove, or change the order of your input tools.

Previous Google Input Tools App was much better and could be used anywhere. It's not that easy to use it in Nepali language yet as extension.
It just doesn't work. Installed for Japanese, but nothing happens when I activate it... then wait, I can randomly type in katakana! And now it's gone again... Super inconsistent. The exact same things happens for the input where I draw the kanji/katakana. The writing pad only appeared maybe 1/3 of the time? Just seems broken. A real shame.
I actually love this app, but being by Google, you would think it would work seemlessly with their products, however when I turn on this extension, I can't type formulas properly in sheets until I remove the extension. This really sucks as I'm a French speaking accountant who needs to type accents and use google sheets :(
it is a very nice extension for google chrome to write in any script when teacher asks to write words in hindi during class in chat box of google meet . it has also helped me in online classes and in hindi tests on my computer . Thank you google for adding this extension in google extensions website .
The functionality was awesome. But it prevents chrome auto complete feature. Chrome is not giving sugggestions. I disabled all extenions and checked one by one and finally I found google input tools as the culprit behind it. Please fix it
Unable to type in URL bar
good,fast,accurate,nice google,something usful not like google maps
Great tool. I use it to write in Japanese. But I quite often have trouble with it. It simply doesn't type anything when I use it. I tried everything and nothing works, and then out of nowhere it works again for some reason. Please fix this bug!
too bad
Major problem with this is that it somehow doesn't work as intended on Facebook. The extension just keep messing itself up: sometimes I cannot type, sometimes it put the indicator to the beginning of a sentence without me clicking my left mouse button.
