This extension unlocks 1080p playback for Netflix and add other quality of life improvements as well. It was originally developed by truedread, but the original project has not been maintained for a while, so I forked the project and released this new version.
*** Features ***
- Play movies in 1080p in Chrome. Depending on the DRM used by the title, this may not work, especially non-Netflix ones.
- Unlock 5.1 audio where available.
- Automatically switch to the highest available bitrate.
- Optionally disable use of the AV1, VP9 and AVChigh codec, which use lower bitrates and don't support hardware decoding on some platforms.

5 star this extension is working great it fix the 5.1 audio problem on my pc and save my money from buying new 5.1 home theater thank you so much to the developer how to use it install the extension and after that sing in netflix again recheck the audio connection and audio drivers and audio app like reatltek audio its working great

I was really annoyed by the constant downgrading of quality while watching videos on netflix and I always had to refresh the page but after few minutes it used to do the same again, thanks a ton to the devs of this extension, this actually works!! no more refreshing the page mid watching haha!!

5.1 funktioniert aber bei lauteren Passagen ist ein lautes knacksen auf den 5.1 Tonspuren zu hören.

Can you make 4k version
1080p works but 5.1 doesn't. On the stats it still showing Channel 2.0 on Audio Track. Seen you ask for region, UK. Anything else that needs to be done to enable 5.1?
compense largement la mauvaise mise a jour netflix qui fait perdre le 5.1 , fonctionne parfaitement mais fait perdre en qualité video , ce serait bien de pouvoir modifier la qualité .
