This extension is incredibly useful, but I've since decided to keep it disabled because doing front-end dev and having "[Deprecation] Element.createShadowRoot is deprecated and will be removed in M80, around February 2020. Please use Element.attachShadow instead. See https://www.chromestatus.com/features/4507242028072960 and https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2019/07/web-components-time-to-upgrade for more details." appear in the console 1-3 times on each page load is just not acceptable. It's been spitting out that console error for years now, there's no excuse for you to not have updated the extension by now.

Bonjour, J'ai un problème avec l'extension lorsque je choisi dans les paramètres d'activer l'extension uniquement quand j'appuie dessus , ça marche plus et ça affiche "Searching .." a la place quand j'essaye de définir un mot en double cliquant dessus. Chrome Version 77.0.3865.90 (Build officiel) (64 bits).

[IMPORTANT INFO] Sept 2019: Google has broken this Dictionary extension almost a year ago, and it has been abandoned since 2017. The best replacement/substitute I've found is "Instant Dictionary by GoodWordGuide.com" here in the Chrome Web Store: it appears to be virtually a 100% identical clone of the original Google Dictionary, except it works! So Rate this one 1 star, and upvote this comment (and/or Rate 5 stars for "Instant Dictionary by GoodWordGuide.com") so others can be saved the hassle & frustration we've suffered.

for the most part, it worked just fine. but at some point, maybe several months after usage, the extension was corrupted (according to the extensions manager). it was easy to repair and use afterwards, but it was corrupted again after a couple weeks :/ it's not much of a hassle to repair, but i'd rather not have to repair it several times afterwards. i'd rather use a more reliable extension :/
