The "Media Player" is a browser extension to play music and video files either locally or from online sources. This project aims to bring a VLC-liked media playing experience using native HTML5 technology. The add-on is built on top of the well-known "video.js" project by applying a few custom plug-ins to enhance the user experience. This player supports media boosting, speed control, playlist media selection, fullwidth-progress bar, HTTP-streaming (M3U8), cast to a remote device, and wave surfer visual for audio files.

Open the interface and drop the media link to it

Right-click on the player and select "Open in Media Player"

Не работает от слова совсем!
Num teste no Chrome Os Flex, em um Notebook acer Aspire 2018, com Pendrive, está indo bem, e tem reprodução automática sequencial, porém só abre por ele, e não do Gerenciador de Arquivos, nem tem botão de passagem para outro vídeo sequêncial, mas, passa na sequência automaticamente quando os vídeos são selecionados, por isso o estou usando! Até o momento foi o que achei, e é bom! Como compensação aos controles de pular ou voltar vídeos, tem a lista disponível ao lado na barra inferior. Mesmo assim, gosto dos controles completos e com a opção de não aparecerem nas passagens, exceto por toque, quando for necessário. Recomendo_o!
Cool. When I use Arch/Fedora/Debian with Gnome DE, the video players could not play some videos. This plugin is great solution, lightweight and well-supported.
there is no open in media player option coming on right click
plays mkv videos but there was no audio :(

Estava procurando um web player para que eu pudesse assistir arquivos do meu PC com o navegador para utilizar o recurso da Nvidia RTX Video Super Resolution (que só funciona no Chrome e Edge) e essa extensão funcinou perfeitamente para esse propósito.
Looks good but no apparent way to select which subtitles to load when they are included with the mkv file.
