The "Media Player" is a browser extension to play music and video files either locally or from online sources. This project aims to bring a VLC-liked media playing experience using native HTML5 technology. The add-on is built on top of the well-known "video.js" project by applying a few custom plug-ins to enhance the user experience. This player supports media boosting, speed control, playlist media selection, fullwidth-progress bar, HTTP-streaming (M3U8), cast to a remote device, and wave surfer visual for audio files.

Open the interface and drop the media link to it

Right-click on the player and select "Open in Media Player"

Essentially a must have media player for any Chromebook, does the equivalent of VLC on Windows, easy to add subtitles etc. I've made this my default player. Can't fault it.
my mp3 plays and then it crashes with error code SIGILL
Funciona muy bien. Hace ya tiempo compré un chromecast, y no había conseguido un complemento o aplicación que reprodujera las películas descargadas en mi PC, con todo y sus subtítulos. La única pega, es que no se apaga la pantalla del PC, pero eso ya excedería los límites de una extensión del navegador. Alternativamente, se puede emitir archivos descargados en un dispositivo android con una app llamada web video caster, la cual también permite agregar los subtítulos descargados. En fin, dos piezas de software muy eficientes y absolutamente necesarias.
videos play for a second then cuts out lol
Writing a review for an extension for the first time because it solved my problem!! Had problems with playing local videos in full-screen using media players (like vlc, and the default media player) in my linux system (maybe it has something to do with nvidia rtx series graphics card). Whole screen used to glitch when in full screen. But youtube videos, and streaming websites used to work perfectly fine. Got his extension and now i can watch local videos, even with subtitles in my browser, without the screen glitching. And the playback is super smooth. Thanks a lot!!
Excelente, lo que estaba buscando, solo reproducir mis videos de la PC sin instalar nada. Mil estrellas por eso.
Норм. Работает: 1) Жмем правой кнопкой мыши по ауодиофайлу 2) Выбираем Play with
Se puede reproducir vídeos pero no se escucha el audio
It does not read AVI files
Dieser Videoplayer ist der einzige, dem ich Untertitel hinzufügen kann. Sehr gut! Im Moment kann ich keine Untertitel mehr hinzufügen, ich weiß nicht, wo der Fehler ist. Könnten Sie es reparieren? Danke.
