The "Bookmarks Manager and Viewer" extension provides a panel view to modify your bookmarks. The panel is equipped with fuzzy search (like Google search) to help you find the matching bookmarks. You have a set of tools to edit your bookmarks on the fly. It is even possible to drag a bookmark to a new position in the tree or create a new directory and place the bookmark inside it.
Features:
1. Fuzzy Search: Use to find matching items even if you are not sure what the exact title or URL of the stored bookmark is.
2. Validation Button: Delete broken bookmarks or find duplicated bookmarks recursively.
3. Edit Properties: Modify the title or address of a bookmark
4. Toolbar Color: Detect if the current page is bookmarked or not
Inspect the latest comments and rating distribution.
Store average score: 3.9. The bars below are calculated from synced review text only, so they may be empty for extensions that have public ratings but no synced comments yet.

Very convenient if you want to relocate or modify the name or url of the bookmark after adding it, because it keeps the Bookmark Manager window open, unlike the default behavior if you just drag the url to a folder on the bookmark toolbar. Just wish there were an option to create a new folder as a new bookmark is being added, say under the Tools menu or the right-click context menu. Another desirable feature would be to automatically focus on the (first) bookmark that corresponds to the current tab (if it is bookmarked already), and expand the folder containing this bookmark, when the bookmark manager is opened upon pressing the icon on the toolbar. Maybe, there should be an option to turn on/off this feature.
It's fine if all you want to do is search for a bookmark and open it. But since the built-in bookmark manage now lacks basic functionality, I wanted to search a certain bookmark folder in order to move the matching bookmarks to another folder. It doesn't look like this extension can help with that.
only thing lacking is sorting bookmarks by dates!
I was looking for a Bookmarks Manager that would enable me to conduct searches within folders, and this one fits the bill. I am putting it through its paces. So far so good!
PLEASE PLEEASE PLEASE MAKE A DARK MODE FEATURE
This lack a lot of features, it ask for permission to every url you want to change the title for... and It offer no real advantage compared to the browser bookmarks manager and omnibox...
I've installed this extension about one hour ago and want to give a first quick review (for version 0.3.2): Basically I'm searching for a replacement for Chrome's built-in bookmark manager, because I currently have speed problems with it, though it's not sure why, because I don't have these issues in other OSes/environments. But truth is that I have like 20k bookmarks or so, and that can slow things down. Till mid 2023, Chrome had an alternative built-in bookmark manager which was much faster than its classic one. I loved that one and used it a lot. But Google unfortunately killed it end of last year. So now I need a faster alternative. First impression of this extension is actually very good. What I like (extract): - big thumbs up for the design!!! I think it's super nice! - I definiely like the way that you can edit bookmarks fast because there is an always-open editing field at the bottom. Very useful, because editing bookmarks is one of the things that you'll do the most - great that you can copy the ID of the bookmark. Pretty useful for me. - being able to set the root of the bookmark manager is also great. I believe it will help me when editing bookmarks What I miss: - bookmarks cannot be copied and pasted (or at least I haven't found out how). I need that all of the time. Would be great to have. EDIT: I've now discovered that you can duplicate bookmarks via drag and drop through holding the Ctrl button. That's great, but real copy-pasting is probably a lot better to copy bookmarks to somewhere else within a big tree structure. - no option to open multiple marked bookmarks in new tabs or a new Chrome window. Or to open all bookmarks contained within one folder in new tabs or a new Chrome window. I'm using that a lot in Chrome. Currently you only can double click on one single bookmark to open it in a new tab. As said, that's only a first impression review. I might update it later on. Thanks a lot for this extension for sure! I think I will use it!
Needs to have a simpler way to search within subfolder. Having to right click then select validate feels really redundant when you should be able to simply left click on the specific folder, press ctrl + f, and the search system should only search within the said folder. Also needs to be able to open searched result(s) from a simple middle click instead of having to go back and forth to the "bookmark manager" window and the "search" window. It's so annoying having to constantly switch between two different boxes. Literally all I wanted is just the simplicity of Chrome's bookmark manager, only with a search within folder feature, since google are so incompetent that they didn't even added this basic feature. This might have the one I need, but it's just so annoying to use.
I prefer to use https://linkbook.io for managing my bookmarks as the user interface is much nicer to use and it recommends me new websites the more I use it.
