The "Bookmarks Manager and Viewer" extension provides a panel view to modify your bookmarks. The panel is equipped with fuzzy search (like Google search) to help you find the matching bookmarks. You have a set of tools to edit your bookmarks on the fly. It is even possible to drag a bookmark to a new position in the tree or create a new directory and place the bookmark inside it.
Features:
1. Fuzzy Search: Use to find matching items even if you are not sure what the exact title or URL of the stored bookmark is.
2. Validation Button: Delete broken bookmarks or find duplicated bookmarks recursively.
3. Edit Properties: Modify the title or address of a bookmark
4. Toolbar Color: Detect if the current page is bookmarked or not

It is a work of great potential but not done/not finished IMO. I can't add new bookmarks even after adding the ID and restarting both my browser and the extension. Even in the popup menu, if I right click on a folder, I won't be able to click "create new bookmark" and my only option would be choosing a small button under a drop down menu! Also, if I set a folder as "root" by mistake I can't find the way to change it back to its parent! I appreciate your effort but if I'm going to use the viewer only, then there are other extensions lighter than this one.
Exactly what I was looking for. A more compact version of Chrome's bookmark manager.
Why is there no EXPORT function?
I installed it because the built-in bookmark manager was empty and no solution found in google worked for me. Surprisingly, after installing this extension, the built-in bookmark manager resurrected... But I think I will keep this extension anyway because it just seems better for me :D
Allows me to do exactly what I needed: an easy way to manage bookmarks by being able to view what each is, and move it around.

Works great for me. I mainly use it to quickly search for a bookmark I can't for the life of me remember where it is. I have a huge mass of bookmarks collected over many years and this little add on is a real time saver.
This extension is good. I just would add the option to open the found bookmark by pressing Enter so there is no need to use the mouse.
After scrounging over the Web Store to find a bookmark manager, this seems like best one I've found Been using it for over a year now, I would say that this bookmark manager is the greatest thing to ever existed, Thank!!!
